Schmucks Bagel

Hidden within many office buildings – if you don’t work or live around the area, you won’t come across Schmucks Bagel.

I’ve had their bagels at least 4 times and say I’d recommend Schmucks Bagel when you want to feel a little healthy and full! Their Bagels are always toasted just right – crispy outside and a soft dough inside. I see their fillings as gourmet ingredients.

On my recent visit I tried the below two photos which are: Fiery Chick, $13.50 – crumbed free range chicken breast, harissa slaw, cheese, kewpie and the fiery part of sweet chilly sauce. The chilly sauce has got some kick in it, by the time I’m almost finished with the bagel, I started to search for water. hahaha

Second is Polish Hot Brown, $12.00 Turkey breast, hickory smoked bacon, kewpie, tomato and iceberg on rye bagel. The bagel using comes with melted cheese, but J asked without cheese. Bacon was smoked perfectly but Rye bread isn’t for me – I found it too dense compared with the Fiery Check sesame bagel.

Every time I go, I try their Lattes, $3.80, cheaper than other places, but still not the best that I’ve had. Sometimes it’s strong sometimes it’s just right.

I usually go after gym on a weekend because it’s walkable from my gym, as long as the EatClub discount is still available, I’d continue to revisit and try the rest of their bagel selections. 🙂
